Alberta Ferretti is one of those labels that always comes up with delicious fabric mixes and feminine takes on the trends of the day. Yet it’s not one that you expect to make you say “wow”.  This couture season is rather different though.

The Alberta Ferretti Limited Edition label has channelled many of the key trends we’ve seen during pre-fall but done it with a spectacular – and very luxe – edge that makes many of the pieces red carpet must-haves.

Most spectacularly we’ve got the key animal pattern story, interpreted here in a lustrous tiger pattern or as snake detail (embellished onto dresses, as jewellery or shoe straps).

We’ve also got the fringes and tassels, the hi-lo hems, the LLDs (little lace – or sheer – dresses for after-six sheer dressing), the lush evening coats, and the ankle boots.

Mmm. Delicious.
