Whatever the Kenzo collaboration with H&M turns out to be this November, it looks fairly certain that it’ll have its fair share of fashion challenges.
The companies have released three images from the mini-collection lookbook and whether it appeals to you or not will most likely depend on whether you’re a fan of coloured tiger print worn skintight and head-to-toe.
OK, there’s more – a khaki parka looks pretty commercial and pink-toned shearling is a new twist on a popular AW16 theme.
Kenzo design duo Carol Lim and Humberto Leon probably have some more shocks up their sleeves, but we’ll have to wait a few months to find out.
Interestingly, the images released so far feature artists and activists Amy Sall, Juliana Huxtable, Oko Ebombo and Isamaya Ffrench. So it doesn’t look like this is going to a collaboration driven by supermodels like last year’s Balmain outing.
Maybe that’s a good thing. If I see one more AW16 campaign fronted by a supermodel or, worse still, someone introduced as the “son of…” or “daughter of…” somebody famous, I think I’ll scream.
