Animal print lovers like myself should be looking forward to pre-fall 2016 as there’s a strong big cat print and texture trend coming through that’s being seen on coats, skirts, bags and shoes.

So far we’re seeing leopard, tiger and cheetah with the pattern trend worked both as real or faux fur and as a pure print story. What we aren’t seeing so much are the coloured animal patterns that were stronger in recent seasons.

Here the dominant colour story is tan and black so it’s bye-bye to zebra for now too. Except that is, when it comes to knits where designers are still playing with colour and creating more obvious faux effects zebra and re-coloured tiger effects.
